ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN RISIKO PERILAKU KEKERASAN DENGAN TERAPI RELAKSASI BENSON DI RUANG CENDRAWASIH RS DR. ERNALDI BAHAR PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
The increase in cases of mental health disorders in Indonesia is increasingly worrying. Based on data from Dr. Ernaldi Bahar Hospital in 2024, it shows that paranoid schizophrenia is the most common illness in inpatients with 839 cases and the most common nursing diagnosis in 2024 is the risk of violent behavior. This study aims to provide an overview of the application of Benson relaxation therapy in the form of psychiatric nursing care for patients with a risk of violent behavior at Ernaldi Bahar Hospital, South Sumatra Province, Palembang. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach to 3 patients with a risk of violent behavior. There was a decrease in signs and symptoms of risk of violent behavior in all three patients after generalist therapy in the form of implementation strategies 1-4 and Benson relaxation therapy. Mr. AA was found to have 14 signs and symptoms of risk of violent behavior before the application of Benson relaxation and decreased to 2 after the application of Benson relaxation. Mr. MA was found to have 13 and decreased to 4. Mr. M was found to have 9 and decreased to 4. Benson relaxation therapy has been proven effective in reducing signs and symptoms of risk of violent behavior.
