KARAKTERISTIK POLA PARTIAL DISCHARGE DAN BREAKDOWN VOLTAGE PADA MATERIAL BAHAN ISOLASI EPOXY RESIN DENGAN FILLER MODIFIED GRAPHENE OXIDE
Research on the effect of adding Modified Graphene Oxide (MGO) filler to Epoxy Resin material to improve dielectric properties as seen from the characteristics of partial discharge patterns and Breakdown Voltage values has been carried out. The test was conducted using a needle-plate electrode system. PD parameter measurements were carried out on samples with variations in filler composition of 0.1;0.3;0.5;0.7;0.9wt% and pure Epoxy Resin samples as controls. The test results show that the more the filler increases, the more the number of discharges that occur. Breakdown Voltage test results of pure Epoxy Resin samples amounted to 24.34 kV and the breakdown voltage increased along with the addition of MGO filler successively to 25.44;25.67;28.76;25.62;24.71 kV. This increase is possible because the modification of Graphene Oxide using Octadecylamine can make the material become Hydrophobic so as to reduce the mobility of charge carriers or ions when in an electric field and improve the dispersion ability of fillers in Epoxy Resin insulation.
