PT Duta Bara Utama is a coal mining company with a mining permit covering an area of 1,967 hectares. PT Duta Bara Utama targets 7,150,000 bcm of overburden and 2,000,000 tons of coal in 2025. In 2024, PT Duta Bara Utama produced 1,900,000 tons of coal and increased its production by 2,000,000 tons in 2025. The company uses the open pit mining method with main equipment such as excavators and dump trucks in its mining process. This study aims to design PT Duta Bara Utama's annual operational plan for 2025, including fleet planning according to quarterly production capacity, technical design of pit mining and disposal based on production targets and pit volume, and determining the location of temporary sumps at the lowest point of the design to support the achievement of quarterly production targets. Software such as Spry, Minescape 5.7, MS Excel, and Global Mapper are used as planning tools. The plan is an annual plan based on the mining situation at the end of 2024. The pit and disposal design process is carried out after obtaining the mining plan contours from the Spry software using the Minescape 5.7 software, taking into account a volume deviation of no more than 10% and a total planned production of 7,494,769 BCM of overburden and 2,279,836 tons of coal with a stripping ratio of 3.29.
