This research is entitled "The Life of the Chinese Community During the Physical Revolution in Palembang (1945-1949). The formulation of the problem of this research is what were the efforts of the Chinese community during the physical revolution, the contribution of the Chinese community during the physical revolution, how was the dynamics of the Indonesian Chinese Party during the physical revolution. The purpose of this research is to determine the efforts of the Chinese community during the physical revolution, to find out the contribution of the Chinese community during the physical revolution and the dynamics of the Indonesian Chinese Party during the physical revolution. The method used in this research is the historical method with research steps namely heuristic, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The approach used is the approach of political science and economics. The results of this study indicate that the Chinese community has a role in the economic sector, such as retail trade, wholesale and other small businesses. PTI plays a pioneer in changing the political orientation of ethnic Chinese from Chinese nationalism to Indonesian nationalism.
