Abnormally high blood pressure is known as hypertension. If a person's blood pressure is ≥140 mmHg systolic or ≥90 mmHg diastolic, they are generally considered to have hypertension. Therefore, pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy is necessary. One of the non-pharmacological therapies that can lower high blood pressure is the papaya juice therapy. Papaya juice therapy is one of the effective non-pharmacological therapies for lowering blood pressure and is rich in fiber and antioxidants. The purpose of this study is to present the results of an evidence-based nursing review through papaya juice therapy in families with hypertension in the Permata Baru Village area. Method: using a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach and implementing nursing care according to the results of the analysis of 10 research articles in three managed families. Results: the results of the assessment of the three clients with hypertension found nursing problems of acute pain, knowledge deficit, readiness to improve health management, readiness to improve knowledge. Non-pharmacological management given to hypertensive patients is papaya juice therapy to lower high blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The results of the administration of papaya juice therapy showed that there was a decrease in blood pressure after being given papaya juice therapy. Discussion: Unripe papaya juice therapy given once daily for three consecutive days can help lower blood pressure in patients with hypertension. Therefore, it can be applied to improve families' ability to control blood pressure.
