PENERAPAN EDUKASI DENGAN MEDIA BOOKLET TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN PADA KELUARGA DENGAN ANAK USIA SEKOLAH TENTANG JAJANAN SEHAT DI DESA PERMATA BARU
Latar Belakang: Jajanan merupakan sumber energi penting bagi anak usia sekolah, namun sebagian besar jajanan belum memenuhi standar keamanan pangan, bahkan mengandung bahan berbahaya seperti boraks dan Rhodamin B. Rendahnya pengetahuan anak dan keluarga mengenai jajanan sehat berdampak pada kebiasaan konsumsi yang berisiko terhadap kesehatan. Upaya peningkatan pengetahuan melalui media edukatif seperti booklet dinilai efektif karena menarik dan mudah dipahami. Tujuan: Menggambarkan penerapan edukasi dengan media booklet terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan keluarga yang memiliki anak usia sekolah tentang jajanan sehat di Desa Permata Baru. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif pada tiga keluarga yang memiliki anak usia 7–9 tahun. Edukasi dilakukan menggunakan media booklet dengan materi tentang pemilihan jajanan sehat. Penilaian dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan edukasi. Hasil: Hasil pre-test menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan keluarga Tn. M (An. D) 30%, keluarga Tn. A (An. N) 40%, dan keluarga Tn. H (An. F) 40%. Setelah edukasi dengan booklet, seluruh keluarga mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan menjadi 100% pada post-test. Anak tampak antusias dan mampu mengenali ciri jajanan sehat, sedangkan orang tua memahami manfaat dan dampak jajanan tidak sehat. Diskusi: Edukasi menggunakan media booklet terbukti efektif, praktis, dan ekonomis dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan keluarga tentang jajanan sehat serta mendorong kebiasaan konsumsi sehat berkelanjutan pada anak usia sekolah. The low level of knowledge among children and families regarding healthy snacks have impact consumption habits that pose a risk to health. Efforts to increase knowledge through educational media such as booklets are considered effective because they are attractive and easy to understand. Objective: To describe the application of education using booklets media to improve families with school-age-children about healthy snacks at Permata Baru Village. Methods: The study used a case study method with a qualitative descriptive approach in three families with children aged 7-9 years. Education was conducted using a booklet media with material on selecting healthy snacks. Assessments were conducted through pre- and post-tests to measure changes in knowledge levels before and after the education. Results: The pre-test results showed a knowledge level of 30% for Mr. M's family (An. D), 40% for Mr. A's family (An. N), and 40% for Mr. H's family (An. F). After the booklet education, all families experienced an increase in knowledge to 100% in the post-test. Children appeared enthusiastic and were able to recognize the characteristics of healthy snacks, while parents understood the benefits and impacts of unhealthy snacks. Discussion: Education using the booklet proved effective, practical, and economical in increasing family knowledge about healthy snacks and encouraging sustainable healthy consumption habits in school-age children.
