Latar Belakang: Manajemen laktasi merupakan segala daya upaya yang dilakukan untuk membantu ibu mencapai keberhasilan dalam menyusui bayinya. Usaha ini dilakukan ibu khususnya pada periode menyusui eksklusif yaitu 0-6 bulan pertama pasca persalinan. Oleh karena itu Salah satu intervensi yang bisa diberikan adalah konseling laktasi dengan pemberian edukasi manajemen laktasi. Tujuan: memberikan gambaran penerapan edukasi manajemen laktasi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu menyusui. Metode: Pendekatan studi kasus dengan memilih tiga pasien dengan masalah keperawatan menyusui tidak efektif pada pasien yang di rawat di Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hoesin. Hasil: masalah keperawatan pada ketiga pasien di dapatkan tiga diagnosa aktual yaitu menyusui tidak efektif, risiko defisit nutrisi, risiko infeksi dan satu diagnosa promosi yaitu kesiapan peningkatan manajemen kesehatan. Kesimpulan: Setelah diberikan edukasi keperawatan selama 3 hari, masalah keperawatan teratasi semua. Penerapan edukasi manajemen laktasi bisa dilakukan dengan baik dan benar oleh pasien sehingga bisa dilakukan mandiri oleh pasien saat di rumah sakit maupun di rumah. Kata Kunci: Manajemen Laktasi, Edukasi, Menyusui tidak efektifBackground : Lactation management is any effort made to help mothers achieve successful breastfeeding. This effort is particularly important during the exclusive breasfeeding period, the fitst 0-6 months after the delivery. Therefore, one intervention that can be provided is loctation counseling with education on lactation management. Objective : To provide an overview of the application of lactation management education to improve the knowlwdgw of breastfeeding mothers. Method : A case study approach wa used by selecting three patients with ineffeective breastfeeding nursing problems in patients treated at Dr. Moehammad hoesin central general hospital of palembang. Results : the nursing problems in the three patients resulted in three actual diagnoses, namely ineffective breastfeeding, risk of nutritional defisit, risk of infection and one promotional diagnosis, namely readiness to improve health management. Conclusion : after three days of nursing education, all nursing issues were resolved. The patients were able to implements the lactation management education effectively and correctly, allowing them to perform it independently both in the hospital and at home.
