ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN DM TIPE II DENGAN PENERAPAN TERAPI TERAMU DAN EDUKASI GOOD LOCK TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN PENGENDALIAN GLUKOSA DARAH
Background: The most common problem in patients with diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by increased blood glucose levels due to impaired insulin production or function. This condition is characterized by unstable blood glucose levels, often influenced by a lack of knowledge, compliance, and an unhealthy lifestyle. Efforts to control blood glucose levels can be carried out through pharmacological and non-pharmacological. One nonpharmacological intervention that has proven effective is TERAMU (deep breathing relaxation therapy and murottal therapy) and GOOD LOCK education. Objective: This study aims to provide nursing care in the form of TERAMU therapy and "GOOD LOCK" education for patients with type II diabetes mellitus with nursing problems such as unstable blood glucose levels and knowledge deficits at Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital of Palembang. Method: This study used a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach on three patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Results: The non-pharmacological interventions implemented in this study was TERAMU Therapy, which was carried out for approximately 20 minutes over three sessions and GOOD LOCK education, which was carried out during one session on the third day of the intervention obtained synergistic effect in reducing blood glucose levels through the mechanism of activating the parasympathetic nervous system and increasing patient knowledge about understanding health maintenance in preventing diabetes mellitus. Discussion: The application of TERAMU (deep breathing relaxation therapy, murotal) and GOOD LOCK education is a comprehensive intervention that is effective in increasing knowledge, increasing comfort, and helping control blood glucose levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Conclusion: TERAMU therapy and GOOD LOCK education are effective in increasing knowledge and controlling blood glucose levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus
