Abortus provocatus criminalis is the termination of pregnancy without medical reasons and is considered as a criminal offense. Although it is illegal, it remains widespread, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia, it is estimated that around 2,6 million abortion cases occur annually, with 700.000 of them involving teenagers. This study aims to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding abortus provocatus criminalis among adolescents in Palembang City. This study is an descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional approach. The research uses primary data obtained from questionnaires completed by 515 respondents from two schools. At SMAN 17, the most respondents had sufficient knowledge (47.2%), negative attitudes (56%), and did not agree with abortion (91.7%), tended to ostracize individuals who had abortions (83.3%), felt that reproductive health education was taboo (90.1%), and agreed with avoiding premarital sex (94.8%), felt embarrassed to have family members who had abortions (55.6%), spread reproductive health education information (91.7%), and reminded friends about avoiding promiscuous sex (93.7%). Meanwhile, at SMAN 22, most respondents had sufficient knowledge (42.6%), positive attitudes (55.1%), and disagreed with abortion (76.4%), ostracize individuals who had abortions (74.5%), felt that reproductive health education was taboo (68.4%), and agreed with avoiding premarital sex (82.1%), felt embarrassed to have family members who had abortions (56.3%), spread reproductive health education information (82.9%), and reminded friends about avoiding promiscuous sex (84%). The majority of respondents at SMAN 17 had sufficient knowledge and negative attitudes, while most respondents at SMAN 22 had sufficient knowledge and positive attitudes. Keywords.
