Pendahuluan: Pemasangan kateterisasi urin adalah suatu tindakan invasif dengan cara memasukkan selang kateter ke dalam kandung kemih untuk membantu proses pengeluaran urin dalam tubuh. Infeksi saluran kemih terkait kateter (CatheterAssociated Urinary Tract Infection/CAUTI) merupakan salah satu infeksi nosokomial yang paling sering terjadi di unit perawatan intensif. Penggunaan kateter urin jangka panjang tanpa pemantauan dan pemeliharaan yang tepat meningkatkan risiko infeksi. Intervensi keperawatan yang dapat dilakukan adalah pencegahan infeksi dan penerapan bundle CAUTI. Bundle CAUTI meliputi penilaian indikasi sebelum pemasangan, penggunaan teknik aseptik saat pemasangan, perawatan kateter yang benar, evaluasi harian kebutuhan kateter, Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil: Pengkajian pada ketiga pasien kelolaan didapatkan masalah keperawatan risiko yang sama yaitu risiko infeksi yang berkaitan dengan tindakan invasif. Pembahasan: Penerapan bundle CAUTI efektif mampu memperbaiki praktik pengawasan kateter urin yang sebelumnya tidak sesuai standar, sehingga mampu menurunkan risiko infeksi. MOHAMMAD HOESIN GENERAL HOSPITAL OF PALEMBANG xviii + 97 pages + 3 tables + 8 appendices ABSTRACT Introduction: Urinary catheterization is an invasive procedure by inserting a catheter tube into the bladder to help the urine excretion process in the body. Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI) is one of the most common nosocomial infections in intensive care units. Long-term use of urinary catheters without proper monitoring and maintenance increases the risk of infection. Nursing interventions that can be carried out are the infection prevention and the application of the CAUTI bundle. The CAUTI bundle includes assessment of indications before installation, use of aseptic techniques during installation, correct catheter maintenance, and daily evaluation of catheter needs.Methods: The method used in this study was a qualitative method with a case study approach. Results: An assessment of the three managed patients found the same risk nursing problem, namely the risk of infection related to invasive measures. Discussion: The implementation of the CAUTI bundle is effective in improving the practice of urine catheter supervision that was previously applied not in accordance with the standards, thus reducing the risk of infection.
