Introduction: Patients treated in the GICU room are generally in critical condition and experience significant mobility limitations, prolonged immobilization, use of invasive medical devices, and unstable hemodynamic conditions that can increase the risk of skin integrity disorders. Dry skin is one of the skin problems, that are often suffered by some people. It generally makes a person's skin look dull, the surface feels scaly, and rough. Dry skin problems can be overcome with a skin moisturizer that can prevent skin dehydration and increase skin hydration, one of which is olive oil rich in ingredients to maintain skin integrity. Objective: To describe the nursing care for patients having dry skin treated in the GICU emergency room of dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital of Palembang.
