SEKOLAH TERPADU AGAMA BUDDHA DI PALEMBANG
The planning and design of the Buddhist School is aimed at for the needs of Buddhist learning. The school is located on Jalan Gubernur H Bastari, 8 Ulu, Seberang Ulu I, Palembang City, South Sumatra. This school facilitates students to learn the science and moral system of Buddhism which is based on ehipassiko and independence. This concept is translated into the form of daily training supported by school, dormitory, temple, and canteen facilities. The building arrangement is based on the circulation of daily activities and corridors are created in the inner area. This attracts students to do activities that carried out by other students. The division of school zoning is based on building functions such as middle school, general education and high school. The site is divided into 3 zones: public zone, semi-private zone and private zone. The design of sufficient space encourages students to leave inner room of the building and gather in open areas at several points in the school area. In this place, students will discuss and exchange ideas with each other. This design supports the concept of ehipassiko and independence.
