ANALISIS KEBERADAAN VIRUS DENGUE PADA NYAMUK Aedes sp. DI WILAYAH KERJA PELABUHAN BOOM BARU KANTOR KESEHATAN PELABUHAN KELAS II PALEMBANG TAHUN 2023
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a Dengue Infection Disease caused by the Dengue Virus which is transmitted through infected Aedes. Dengue virus transmission generally occurs horizontally and vertically (transovarial). The highest cases in South Sumatra in 2019-2022 were found in Palembang City, one of which was in the Boom Baru Port area. This research aims to determine the population of Aedes sp., the Ovitrap Index and the presence of the dengue virus in Aedes sp. adults using the RT-PCR method. The type of research was descriptive observational with a cross-sectional study design. The research sample was the Aedes sp. which came from a collection of eggs obtained from the installation of 160 ovitraps in 80 houses from the perimeter and buffer areas in the Working Area Port of Boom Baru. The research results showed that the Ovitrap Index value outside the home (41%) was greater than inside the home (30%). The tendency of mosquitoes to lay eggs outside the house, the type of mosquito that was often found, is Ae. aegypti male. There are differences in the number of mosquito eggs on ovitraps inside and outside the house as well as differences in the number of Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus. No dengue virus was found in Aedes sp. at working area Port of Boom Baru KKP Class II Palembang. This means that transmission may not occur through vertical transmission. However, this requires early vigilance in preventing dengue infection.
