Inundation often occured at Bandara Residence area. The goal of a research is to calculate the capacity of existing drainage channel within the area. Collected data included primary and secondary ones. Primary data consisted of primary and secondary drainage channels, whereas secondary one covered spatial data of catchment area and maximum daily rainfall. The rainfall data was analyzed to obtain designed rainfall. The rainfall probability distribution followed Log -Pearson type 3. Then the designed flood discharge was calculated using Rational formula based on designed rainfall intensity, coefficient of discharge and the area of basin. Finally, existing drainage channel was compared and evaluated against designed discharge to see if the cannel could still flow the peak discharge. The result of the evaluation showed that some existing tertiary drainage channels, i.e T 1, 4,7,8,14,19 and 20 could not convey the designed discharge.
