Background: Primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) is one of the main causes of blindness that can be prevented through early detection and proper management. This study aims to analyze the distribution of PACG classification and its management at the Eye Polyclinic of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang for the period 2023. Method: The design of this study was descriptive retrospective, using secondary data from patient medical records. Results: The results showed that the majority of patients were in the age group of 40-64 years (68.3%), with a higher proportion of women (75%). Based on classification, the Primary Angle Closure Suspect (PACS) category was the most common type (35.8%). In terms of management, medicamentous therapy with two types of drugs was most commonly used (28.3%), while Laser Peripheral Iridotomy (LPI) as an adjunct was the most common procedure (63.3%). Trabeculectomy surgery was performed in 33.3% of patients, while a combination of medicamentous therapy (1–3 types) with LPI or surgery was the main choice (65%). Conclusion: The conclusion of this study shows the importance of an integrated approach in the management of PACG. The distribution of cases and treatment patterns found can be a reference in developing clinical strategies and public education to improve early detection, effective management, and prevention of complications in PACG patients.
