Child growth and development are essential processes influenced by various factors, including nutrition and stimulation. Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) provides the best nutrition, playing a significant role in supporting infant growth and development. Breast milk contains nutrients such as colostrum, macronutrients, micronutrients, and immune components, which are not found in formula milk. However, research on the impact of EBF on specific growth and development indicators, including head circumference, weight, height, and developmental milestones, remains limited. This study aims to explore the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the growth and development of infants aged 6 to 24 months. The findings are expected to provide insights to support policies and programs promoting EBF in the community, ensuring optimal growth and development during the golden periode of a child’s life. This research used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The study included 290 infants aged 6 to 24 months. Data were collected from secondary sources, including Growth Monitoring Cards (KMS), Pre-Screening Developmental Questionnaires (KPSP), and health center registers.Out of 290 subjects, most infants were aged 6–12 months, with 75.2% receiving exclusive breastfeeding. The growth indicators showed normal weight (86.2%), normal height (89.7%), and normal head circumference (85.2%), while 91.4% had appropriate developmental status. There was a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and growth (p = 0.000), but no significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and development based on KPSP (p = 0.559).Exclusive breastfeeding is significantly associated with growth indicators based on age but not with developmental milestones in infants withing the Kenten Health Center Area.
