This study aims to analyze the discourse contained in a news story. Byusing corpus linguistic analysis, the researcher analyzed the discourse containedin the news entitled "Rejection of Church Development in Cilegon in 2022". Inthis studs, researchers used the online news portal Kompas.com as a medium toobtain data that totaled 97 news. This study used the help of the octoparseapplication to retrieve data and after that the data that had been retrieved wasentered into the voyant tools application to find the frequency and concordancecontained in the news "Rejection of Church Construction in Cilegon in 2022"Based on the data that has been entered into the voyant tools, there are 2020words used in 97 news stories, and words that have a positive connotation in thetop five words that appear frequently are 461 words and words that have anegative connotation are 64 words Based on the research conducted, it showsthat words with a positive connoration actually have a meaning that tends to leadto a negative meaning
