DESAIN FAKTORIAL DALAM OPTIMASI ADSORPSI POLIMER TERCETAK ION Fe(III): STUDI KASUS EKSTRAKSI POLIMER IIPs-Fe(III)
Printed polymers (IIPs) are one of the adsorbents for heavy metals that have the potential to be developed. This study aimed to optimize the extraction of IIPs printed Fe(III) ions using factorial design. IIPs-Fe(III) polymers were synthesized using the cooling-heating method and extracted with HCl solution. The factors that were varied were extraction concentration and extraction time . The results of the study showed that the experimental results of the extraction of IIPs-Fe(III) polymers using the factors of HCl concentration and extraction time produced the largest value of adsorption capacity of 1.3245 mg/g in the extraction results with a HCl concentration of 6 M and extraction time of 8 hours. The smallest crystal size was 1.0698 nm with a concentration of 6 M and extraction time of 6 hours. From the experiments that have been carried out in the extraction process of IIPs-Fe(III) polymers, it produces a mathematical model of adsorption capacity Y1 = 1.65112 + 0.165875(A/6) and crystal size of Y2 = 1.62998 - 0.392975(A/6). In this model the extraction time variable does not appear because this variable is not significant for adsorption capacity and crystal size.. The higher the HCl concentration, the greater the adsorption capacity and the smaller the crystal size of IIPs-Fe(III)
