The information about megalithic sites in Lahat Regency is still relatively minimal. Much of the available information pertains to the history and cultural values of these sites, as provided by site keepers and local communities. This research aims to obtain and identify location information systems, types of status, and documentation of megalithic sites in Lahat Regency. Accurate GPS mapping tools are employed to identify the geographic coordinates of each important element on the site. The research concludes by determining additional information that will be incorporated into WebGIS. The research results indicate that out of the nine sites examined, seven are located far from densely populated settlements, with some sites even having difficult access. Various influencing factors include associations with religious activities or rituals, a desire for settlements to maintain the confidentiality or specificity of the place, and a connection to the limited knowledge or information possessed by the surrounding community.
