PROFIL KLINIS KARSINOMA NASOFARING DI DEPARTEMEN THTKL RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2022-2023
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (KNF) is a malignant tumor that originates from the crypts and epithelium or mucosa located in the nasopharynx. This growth usually occurs on the lateral wall of the nasopharynx, especially the Rosenmuller fossa. The purpose of this study was to determine the clinical profile of patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in the ENT-KL Department of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang in 2022-2023. This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional research design. Samples were taken using secondary data from patient medical records, and taken with a total sampling technique, namely all samples obtained and meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included in the study until the number of samples was met. There were 283 cases (100.0%) of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang Hospital in 2022-2023, most of them were found in the age group of 46-55 years (30.7%), male gender (72.1%), most nutritional status was found to be good nutrition (77.0%), senior high school level of education (42.8%). The most clinical symptoms were lumps in the neck (22.2%). The most common histopathologic classification was WHO type II (54.4%). The most common stage was stage IV (60.4%). A total of 283 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were found, with the most characteristics occurring in the age group 46-55 years, male gender, good nutritional status, and senior high school level of education. The main clinical symptom was a lump in the neck, with the most histopathologic classification being WHO type II and the most stage being stage IV.
