This research aims to find out the politics of money that took place in the election of the head of the village in Tanjung Pinang II village in 2019. In this study use the patronage theory of Aspinall. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Determining informants using purposive techniques. There are 11 informants in this study, consisting of eight primary informants and 3 supportive informants. Types and sources of data are obtained from secondary and primary data with data collection through interviews and readings, as well as documentation. The results of research show that in the election of the village head of Tanjung Pinang II village in 2019 using the form of patronage of the vote buying money carried out by two candidates of the three candidates who nominated themselves. In addition, there is a form of service and activity patronage used in the strategy of attracting the people's voice in the election of the village leader in Tanjung Pinang II Village.
