HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGGUNAAN SKINCARE WAJAH DENGAN KEJADIAN AKNE JUVENIL
Background: Incorrect use of facial skincare products can cause acne in adolescents (juvenile acne). The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the usage of facial skincare and the incidence of juvenile acne. Methods: This cross-sectional analytical observational study was conducted in July - September 2024. Respondents were students of SMA Negeri 1 Palembang and Indralaya selected with a consecutive sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire and physical examination, then processed with SPSS 27 statistical program. Results: The most frequently skincare types used in this study were cleanser (88.5%), sunscreen (76%), moisturizer (63.5%), mask (53%), serum (41%), and toner (39%). The incidence of juvenile acne was 65% with mild (63.8%), moderate (34.6%), and severe (1.5%) severity.
