KORELASI FRAX SCORE DENGAN NILAI BONE MINERAL DENSITY PADA PASIEN FRAKTUR PATOLOGIS NECK FEMUR DI RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG TAHUN 2021 - 2024
Background: Pathological fracture is a fracture that occurs due to minimal or even normal stress and is the most common and serious complication of osteoporosis. It is important to perform an examination to assess the risk of fractures in individuals who are vulnerable. This study aims to determine the correlation between FRAX score and Bone Mineral Density score in pathologic neck femur fracture patient. Methods: This study is an analytical observational study using secondary data from medical records at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, with 22 samples of patient. Results: The patient population was predominantly in the age group of 70 – 79 years (40,9%), female (86,4%), dan the most common cause of fracture was trivial fall (54,5%). There was no strong and significant correlation between FRAX score for hip fractures and the Bone Mineral Density of the femoral neck in patients with pathological neck femur fractures, with a correlation coefficient of -0.075 and a p-value of 0.741. Conclusion: There is no strong and significant correlation between FRAX score for hip fractures and the Bone Mineral Density of the femoral neck in patients with pathological neck femur fractures. Keyword: Pathological Neck Femur Fracture, FRAX Score, Bone Mineral Density.
