PENGARUH HAFALAN AL-QUR’AN TERHADAP MEMORI JANGKA PENDEK SISWA SDIT ZAIN AL MUTTAQIN PALEMBANG
Memory in children can be influenced by various factors such as stress, unhealthy lifestyles, and lack of sleep. The activity of memorizing the Qur'an can improve memory function, support psychological health, and enhance the quality of life in children. This study aims to determine the influence of Qur'an memorization on short-term memory in elementary school students. The study used a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 4th-6th grade students from SDIT Zain Al Muttaqin Palembang who met the inclusion criteria. The Chi-square statistical test showed different results for the both types of tests. The results of the analysis on128 respondents show the results of Cross-tabulation p=0.048 (p0.05) on the Scenery Picture Memory Test show no significant effect, as this test is not specifically designed to assess short-term memory. Based on these results, it was found that Qur'an memorization has an impact on the short-term memory of students.
