ANALISIS FAKTOR RISIKO PASIEN ISOLATED HYPOSPADIAS DI RSUP DR MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG PADA TAHUN 2019-2023
Background: Hypospadias is a congenital anomaly characterized by the abnormal location of the urethral meatus on the ventral part of the penis. It is classified based on the position of the urethral meatus into distal, middle, and proximal types. Hypospadias occurs in approximately 1 in 300 live births, with a prevalence that continues to rise. The exact etiology remains unknown and is considered multifactorial, involving genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors. This study aims to analyze risk factors (maternal age, diabetes mellitus, preeclampsia, history of chemical exposure, and smoke exposure) associated with the classification of isolated hypospadias and seeks to raise public awareness and provide a foundation for further research. Methods: This study is an analytical study with a retrospective cross-sectional design. The sample consists of all patients with isolated hypospadias treated at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang, with complete medical records from 2019 to 2023 who consented to participate in interviews. Results: Out of 32 samples of isolated hypospadias, the proximal type was the most common type (59.4%). Statistical analysis revealed no significant association between the risk factors and the classification of isolated hypospadias (p>0.05). Conclusion: No significant association was found between the risk factors of maternal age, diabetes mellitus, preeclampsia, history of chemical exposure, and smoke exposure and the classification of isolated hypospadias.
