EFISIENSI USAHA PETERNAKAN AYAM BROILER NGINGUN AYAM DI DESA TELUK JAYA KECAMATAN KELEKAR KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM
This study aimed to analyze the technical efficiency, allocative efficiency, and economies of scale of the “Ngingun Ayam” broiler farming business. The farm operated a closed-house system with a capacity of 80,000 broilers per cycle. Data were collected through surveys and analyzed using the Cobb-Douglas production function in natural logarithmic form, estimated via multiple linear regression using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method. The regression results showed that DOC had a coefficient of 0.304 (significance 0.053), feed -0.055 (significance 0.160), and medicine -0.003 (significance 0.849). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.436, indicating that 43.6% of the production variation was explained by the input variables. Technical efficiency analysis showed that DOC had an elasticity of 0.304 (efficient), while feed (-0.055) and medicine (-0.003) were inefficient. The total elasticity of 0.246 indicated a condition of Decreasing Return to Scale (DRS). Allocative efficiency values (NPM/Px) were 1.52 for DOC, -0.08 for feed, and -0.23 for medicine. None of the inputs were used efficiently in price terms. Therefore, input management, especially for feed and medicine, needs improvement to enhance the farm’s production efficiency
