This study explores how PT. Restorasi Ekosistem Konservasi Indonesia (PT. REKI) manages the risk of forest and land fires in the Hutan Harapan area, Jambi. Using a qualitative method through interviews with internal parties of PT. REKI, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and surrounding communities, as well as secondary document analysis, the study finds that although PT. REKI has made efforts such as routine patrols, construction of water reservoirs, and fire suppression, the implementation remains dominated by internal personnel without optimal community involvement. Limited dissemination of reporting mechanisms, public fear of reporting, and lack of support from local village governments are identified as major obstacles. These findings indicate that although PT. REKI demonstrates strong institutional commitment in managing fire risks, improvements are still needed in cross-sectoral collaboration, community participation, and transparent evaluation systems.
