Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease in Indonesia that is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The spread of dengue fever is so fast that the number of sufferers tends to increase and can cause death. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between environmental sanitation and hygiene practices and the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the work area of Sukarami Health Center, Palembang City. The research method is analytical observational with a cross-sectional design and sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The total sample was 73 respondents in the Sukarami Health Center work area, Palembang City. Data analysis was carried out in stages, namely univariate analysis and bivariate chi-square analysis. The results showed that 21 respondents (28.8%) were exposed to dengue hemorrhagic fever and 52 (71.2%) were not exposed to dengue hemorrhagic fever. Based on the chi-square test, the variables associated with the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever were the habit of hanging used clothes (p-value 0.014) and the presence of used goods around the house (p-value 0.015). The variables that were not related to the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever were the condition of water reservoirs (p-value 0.878), waste disposal systems (p-value 0.553), humidity (p-value 0.142) and temperature (p- value 0.164). Therefore, people are advised to pay attention to the condition of their home environment so that it is always neat and clean so that it does not become a breeding ground for mosquito vectors.
