KERAGAAN SIFAT AGRONOMI TANAMAN GENERASI F2 AKSESI PADI BERAS HITAM
This study aimed to agronmic performance of f2 plant generation of black rice accissions. These crosses were conducted as part of a plant breeding program to develop new genotypes that combine the agronomic advantages of high-yielding and stress-tolerant varieties with the observed agronomic traits included plant height, number of productive tillers, flowering age, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, and weight of 1,000 grains. A descriptive observational method was used to assess all F2 genotypes in order to identify the phenotypic variation arising from genetic segregation in the early generation of the cross. The results indicated significant performan among the F2 genotypes, reflecting the high potential for selection of superior trait combinations. Several genotypes exhibited promising characteristics, such as a high number of tillers, optimal panicle length, and grain weight approaching the standard of elite varieties. These findings provide an important foundation for further selection toward the development of pure lines with potential to become superior black rice varieties. Overall, this research supports the development of functional rice varieties that are not only adaptive to various agroecosystem conditions but also possess high economic and health value.
