This study analyzes the needs of the people of Palembang for a transportation information system to support their daily mobility, based on the lack of accurate and integrated public transportation information. The research employs the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. Respondents consist of individuals in the productive age group (15–55 years old) who use both public and private modes of transportation. The study examines variables such as Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Attitude Toward Using (ATU), Behavioral Intention to Use (BIU), and Actual System Use (AU). The results show that ease of use and perceived usefulness significantly influence interest and behavior in using the transportation information system. This highlights the importance of developing a system that is accessible, informative, and aligned with the needs of the people of Palembang.
