PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN RUMAH SAKIT PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Sriwijaya University, as one of the largest public universities in Sumatra, plays a vital role in education, research, and community service. The presence of its Faculty of Medicine requires adequate healthcare facilities, not only as a center for medical services but also as a place for education and research. Currently, Indralaya, which serves as the main campus location, faces limitations in healthcare infrastructure, with only a few hospitals available and none meeting the standards of a type B teaching hospital. This condition highlights the urgency of establishing a teaching hospital that can support medical education while also improving healthcare services for the local community. The planning and design of the Sriwijaya University Teaching Hospital aim to establish a type B hospital with a minimum capacity of 200 beds, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health. The design concept considers site planning, activity zoning, space requirements, circulation standards, and building utilities. Furthermore, the design emphasizes comfort, safety, efficiency, and harmony with the surrounding environment, creating a facility that is both functional and human-centered. This teaching hospital is expected to serve as a modern healthcare center as well as a hub for medical education, addressing the needs of students, healthcare professionals, and the wider Indralaya community.
