This research is entitled “Analysis of Employee Performance in the General Affairs and Staffing Subdivision at the Regional Inspectorate of South Sumatra Province.” The purpose of this study is to analyze employee performance based on the five performance dimensions proposed by T.R. Mitchell (1989), namely quality of work, timeliness, initiative, capability, and communication. This study employed a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving three key informants, namely the Head of the General Affairs and Staffing Subdivision and two staff members. The data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that employee performance is generally categorized as fairly good. The quality of work dimension is reflected in accuracy and precision in administrative tasks. The timeliness dimension shows that most tasks are completed on schedule, although workload distribution remains uneven. The initiative dimension is visible in proactive behavior in assisting tasks and suggesting improvements. The capability dimension indicates that employees are able to solve challenges independently before seeking guidance from superiors. The communication dimension is reflected in the ability to deliver clear information through meetings, correspondence, and the official website. In conclusion, employee performance in the General Affairs and Staffing Subdivision is fairly good, but improvements are needed in workload distribution and time discipline. This study is expected to provide input for the institution to enhance organizational performance effectiveness.
