IMPLEMENTASI INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION ON THE ELIMINATION OF ALL FORMS OF RACIAL DISCRIMINATION (ICERD) DALAM ISU DISKRIMINASI TERHADAP MUSLIM DI PRANCIS
France ratified the ICERD Convention in 1971. The ratification of ICERD demonstrates France's commitment to anti-discrimination principles, which include respect for individual freedoms, including the right to freely express religious identity without discriminatory pressure or prohibitions. This study aims to determine the French government's efforts to implement the ICERD Convention on the issue of discrimination against Muslims in France. In its discussion, this study uses the concepts of human rights and international regimes. The author employed a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques for this study were conducted through literature review of books, articles, theses, journals, and internet sources that were accurate and relevant to the research. The results indicate that the French government has not fully succeeded in implementing the ICERD Convention, particularly regarding the issue of discrimination against Muslims. This is evident in the policies issued by the French government, which often discriminate against Muslims, and the failure of France to properly resolve cases of discrimination against Muslims. This reflects the French government's institutional double standard regarding the issue of discrimination against Muslims.
