Introduction: Dental caries prevention consisted of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. Determining the risk level of caries was one of the primary prevention measures, one of which was applied using CAMBRA. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the incidence of dental caries risk among first-year medical students at Sriwijaya University using the CAMBRA form. Methods: This study was a quantitative descriptive study using descriptive statistical analysis. The sample consisted of 84 respondents taken according to the calculation of the sample size and met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through screening using Google Form, filling out the CAMBRA questionnaire, and clinical examination of the respondents’ oral cavity. Results: Results of this study showed that among new medical students at Sriwijaya University, 6 respondents (7.1%) had low caries risk, 20 respondents (22.3%) had moderate risk, 51 respondents (60.7%) had high risk, and 7 respondents (8.3%) had extreme risk. Conclusion: The level of caries risk among new medical students at Sriwijaya University was in the high category (60.7%).
