Legal protection is defined as law that provides protection and determines human behavior in society. A public official notary has the authority to make deeds, has the authority to make authentic deeds of all deeds required by Indonesian laws and regulations. Shareholders are people, companies, or institutions who own at least one share of a company or mutual fund. E-commerce can be defined as the process of selling or purchasing through transferring or exchanging products, services or information via online digital means. The company's business capital in e-commerce, among other things, is the initial innovation of the business model combined with the basic model. This thesis will discuss notary legal protection for share ownership for stock investors in the e-commerce sector. In order to find out the notary's legal protection for stock investors in the e-commerce sector and the notary's responsibility for share ownership in the e-commerce sector. The research method used is normative methods and legal certainty for notaries. As legal protection can protect stock investors in the e-commerce sector, it ensures the fairness of notary legal protection. To obtain legal certainty, legal protection can be guaranteed by a Notary. The notary makes a legal deed regarding the notary's authority to enter into contracts with investors and companies. The important role of notaries in investment promotion can provide legal certainty to stock investors. The notary profession functions to support the capital market and is considered important in creating documents. A Notary who, through negligence or deliberate action, causes losses that cause losses to investors, can be classified as a mistake against the notary. In this case, the preventive or non-preventive actions taken by the notary do not directly protect investors, so the notary himself can protect investors from the notary who issued the deed. Notaries can be responsible for deeds made by notaries with legal guarantees for investors. Notary legal protection for stock investors, in the notary's efforts to protect stock investors. Get the right to legal protection through laws and regulations to protect investors in e-commerce investment transactions.
