The Notary Protocol is a collection of documents which constitute the State Archives which must be kept and maintained by the Notary. Notaries also have the obligation to make a Deed in the form of Deed Minutes and save it as part of the Notarial Protocol. "Make a Deed in the form of Deed Minutes and save it as part of the Notary Protocol". A Notary's responsibilities while serving are also related to storing all Notarial Protocols that he or she receives. related to the Notary's responsibilities related to the Notary Protocol, namely the State Archives which must be maintained and guarded by the Notary. Regarding the Notary Protocol which does not maintain and manage the minutes of the deed, to date the government has never issued a single decision letter regarding what follow-up actions must be taken by Notaries who are entrusted with the Notary Protocol, so that this problem creates legal uncertainty for the public. This research aims to find out the legal rules regarding procedures for storing deed minutes as part of the Notary Protocol and to find out the legal responsibility of Notaries who do not maintain and administer deed minutes as part of the notary protocol. This research uses a normative method, which means scientific research to find the truth based on scientific logic that is researched from or normative. The results of this research show that Notaries have the responsibility to store, archive and maintain Notary Protocols properly as regulated in Article 1 number 13 of the Notary Public Law, which is a state archive that must be "kept" and "maintained" by the Notary. The responsibility of a Notary who does not maintain and administer the Notary Protocol will result in legal responsibility resulting from violations or unlawful acts, general legal provisions apply, whether civil, criminal or administrative, to the Notary concerned.
