This study aims to examine the influence of the Intermediate Volunteer Class (IVC) on the development of leadership character among humanitarian social volunteers at Satu Amal Indonesia in Palembang. The research is based on the importance of leadership training in shaping young generations to become future leaders, particularly through volunteer activities in the fields of education, disaster response, charity, environmental action, and community empowerment. This study employed a quantitative method with a causal-comparative approach. The population consisted of 133 volunteers who participated in the IVC program in 2023 and 2024, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using Slovin’s formula. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, while data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The results showed a positive and significant influence of IVC training on the development of leadership character, with a t-test value of 6.910 and a significance level of 0.000. The training effectively enhanced the leadership traits of courage, integrity, and vision among volunteers, with integrity classified as “very high” at 61.8, based on the leadership character interval classification table.Therefore, the Intermediate Volunteer Class program plays a crucial role in shaping volunteers who are not only socially active but also possess leadership character as initiators and drivers of good deeds carried out voluntarily. Leadership character is essential in volunteer activities as it serves as a foundation for volunteers to make decisions, act independently, and inspire others in emergency, complex, or challenging situations.
