PENGARUH ABU BOILER PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT DAN PUPUK KANDANG SAPI TERHADAP KETERSEDIAAN NPK DAN RESPON TANAMAN JAGUNG (ZEA MAYS L.) PADA ULTISOL.
Ultisol soil is a type of soil that is less fertile, characterised by low pH, nutrient content, and ability to absorb water. One of the efforts to overcome the problems in ultisol soil is to provide additional materials into the soil such as organic fertilisers such as Cow Manure and Palm Oil Mill Boiler Ash. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of Palm Oil Mill Boiler Ash and Cow Manure on the availability of NPK on the response of Maize plants on Ultisol. This research was conducted from December 2024 to March 2025, using a Randomised Group Design consisting of 5 treatment units and 3 replications. Each treatment unit consisted of 8 plants and 4 plant samples were taken, so the total number of plant samples was 60 plants. He dose of fertiliser () consists of 4 levels, namely: A0 = Control, A1 = Boiler ash 450 g plot-1 = 3 tonnes ha-1, A2 = Cow manure 650 g plot-1 = 4.5 tonnes ha-1, A3 = Boiler ash 450 g plot-1 = 3 tonnes ha-1 + Cow manure 650 g plot-1 = 4.5 tonnes ha-1, A4 = Boiler ash 900 g plot-1 = 6 tonnes ha-1 + Cow manure 650 g plot-1 = 4.5 tonnes ha-1. The results concluded that the application of boiler ash at a dose of 3 tonnes ha-1 can increase the pH of Ultisol soil. The application of cow manure at a dose of 4.5 tonnes ha-1 can increase the production of corn crops and the application of a combination of boiler ash treatment at a dose of 3 tonnes ha-1 + cow manure at a dose of 4.5 tonnes ha-1 can increase the dry weight of corn plants.
