HUBUNGAN LINGKUNGAN FISIK RUMAH DAN FAKTOR PEMBENTUK PERILAKU DENGAN KEJADIAN DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE (DBD) DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS INDRALAYA KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Indralaya Community Health Center is recorded as the region with the highest incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in Ogan Ilir Regency, with 78 cases in 2024. Based on numerous studies, one of the contributing factors to the high incidence of DHF is the environment and human behavior. This study aims to analyze the correlation between physical home environment and behavioral factors with the incidence of DHF within the Indralaya Community Health Center area. This research employed a case-control study design, with a total sample of 106 individuals, comprised of 53 case samples and 53 control samples. Data analysis was conducted in two stages, including bivariate analysis through the Chi-square test and calculating Odds Ratio values. The analytical results indicated a significant relationship between humidity (p-value 0.001, OR = 6.300, 95% CI 1.961-20.238) and respondent actions (p-value 0.001, OR = 5.559, 95% CI 2.024-15.266) with DHF incidence. Conversely, factors such as the presence of mesh ventilation, lighting, residential density, as well as respondent knowledge and respondent attitudes showed no significant association with DHF incidence. In conclusion, physical environmental factors such as humidity, alongside community preventive actions, represent risk factors for contracting DHF.
