The agricultural sector particularly rubber farming plays an important role in supporting Indonesia's economy as one of the largest rubber producers in the world. This study aims to analyze the sustainability of rubber farming in Pulau Lebar Village, Rawas Ulu District, North Musi Rawas Regency, through the practice of the profit-sharing system applied between landowners and tappers. The method used in this study is a survey with a sample of 30 farmers, consisting of 15 landowners and 15 tappers. The analysis is conducted using a descriptive approach to describe the mechanism of the profit-sharing system and cost analysis to assess whether the applied profit-sharing system is ideal. The results show that the profit-sharing system implemented is 60:40, where the division of results between landowners and tappers is considered fairly equitable under the current conditions. However, despite the system functioning technically and socially, the study finds that the existing profit-sharing mechanism has not fully met the standards of a Decent Standard of Living (KHL) for tappers. The main factors affecting the profit-sharing system are the costs incurred by both parties, with landowners bearing most of the fixed costs and initial investments, while tappers are more involved in direct labor. This study recommends that stakeholders, including the government and local agricultural organizations, improve the profit-sharing system by considering the welfare of tappers to ensure greater sustainability. The results of this study can serve as a basis for the relevant parties to formulate policies that support the sustainability of rubber farming in the village.
