HUBUNGAN AKTIVITAS FISIK DAN STATUS GIZI PADA ATLET DI KLUB BOLA VOLI CAROLINE
Background: Physical activity refers to any body movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure and is one of the factors that can influence nutritional status. Diet is a method or attempt to regulate the quantity and type of foods with descriptive information, including maintaining health, nutritional status, preventing or aiding recovery from disease. Diet is also the most important behavior that can influence nutritional status. This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional status of Caroline volleyball club athletes. Methods: The research was an observational analysis with a cross-sectional design. The population was drawn from all Carolina volleyball club athletes, both male and female. Samples were collected from all Caroline Volleyball Club athletes with a minimum sample size using a hypothesis testing sample formula. Data were collected by completing the PAQ-A questionnaire followed by a 24-hour food recall questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively and analyzed using Chi Square SPSS. Results: Research results show that p-value = 0.217 for physical activity on nutritional status, p-value = 0.969 for food type on nutritional status, p-value = 0.367 for meal frequency with nutritional status and p-value = 0.189 for food intake with nutritional status. Conclusion: There was no significant relationship between physical activity, food type, meal frequency, and food intake on the nutritional status of Carolina volleyball club athletes.
