PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE LISTENING TEAM PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI TERHADAP KEAKTIFAN SISWA KELAS XI DI SMA MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PALEMBANG
This research aims to investigate the effect of implementing the cooperative learning model of the Listening Team type in economics subjects on the learning engagement of Grade XI students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palembang. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a One-Group Pre-test–Post-test Design. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Instrument validity was assessed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation, while reliability was tested using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique, resulting in one class XI IPS 9 comprising 36 students. Hypothesis testing was conducted using a parametric statistical t-test, yielding a result of T_count≥t_table yaitu 3,942 ≥1.6999, indicating the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁). These findings suggest that the Listening Team learning model significantly influences students’ learning engagement. Thus, the implementation of the Listening Team model is strongly recommended. Enhancing student engagement contributes to the development of critical thinking and a proactive learning attitude, which ultimately supports improved academic achievement.
