PENGARUH LAMA FERMENTASI SUPERNATAN LIMBAH BUAH DAN SAYUR TERHADAP NILAI pH, AMMONIA, DAN TOTAL ASAM
Feed additives are additional ingredients in animal feed that function to improve health, productivity, and feed quality. One potential source of environmentally friendly feed additives is vegetable market waste, which can be processed through a fermentation process to produce supernatants containing beneficial microbes and compounds. This study aims to determine the effect of the duration of vegetable and fruit fermentation on the quality of pH, ammonia, and total acid. This study was conducted from September to November 2021 at the Animal Nutrition and Feed Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Study Program, Department of Animal Technology and Industry, Sriwijaya University. This experimental study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (0-day fermented market waste juice), P1 (6-day fermented market waste juice), P2 (12-day fermented market waste juice), and P3 (18-day fermented market waste juice). Observed variables included pH, ammonia, and total acid. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if there were differences between treatments, Duncan's multiple range test was used. The results showed that the fermentation time of fruit and vegetable waste supernatant had a significant effect (P
