Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) cases in Kalidoni Subdistrict have remained relatively high and fluctuating over the past three years, which supported by environmental conditions such as high population density and suboptimal drainage systems. This situation has led the community, particularly housewives in Kalidoni Subdistrict, to take independent actions to prevent mosquito bites through the use of mosquito insecticides. This study uses a quantitative method with a crosssectional approach. Samples of 84 respondents were chosen by cluster sampling. Data was collected through interviews using a questionnaire. Data analysis in this study uses statistical applications with the Chi-Square test. The result shows a correlation between characteristics (p value = 0,035; PR = 1,445; CI: 1,020-2,046), the educatioal (p-value = 0,001; PR = 1,694; CI: 1,375-2,089), the work (p-value = 0,040; PR = 1,403; CI: 1,09-1,7792), the revenue (p-value = 0,023; PR = 1,493; CI: 1,041-2,142), knowledge (p-value = 0,028; PR = 1,423; CI: 1,053-1,992), attitude (p-value = 0,008; PR = 1,660; CI: 1,802-2,546 with the housewives’s practice in the use of mosquito insecticides. The conclusion of this study shows a significant correlation between age, education, employment, income, knowledge and attitudes with the behavior of housewives in the use of mosquitos insecticides in Kalidoni subdistrict, Palembang City. It is recommended to the community (especially housewives) in the Kalidoni subdistrict to increase awareness in the use of mosquito repellent’s insecticides according to the recommendations on the packaging label and to practice self-protection procedures to prevent negative impacts from exposure to mosquito repellent’s insecticides.
