Sand is one of the mineable mineral resources formed through weathering processes, both mechanical and chemical. Ogan Ilir Regency has the potential for sand mining industry due to the presence of the Ogan River. To evaluate the subsurface potential of sand deposits, a geophysical investigation is required, one of which is the geoelectrical method. The 2D resistivity geoelectrical method with Wenner-Schlumberger electrode configuration involves injecting an electric current into the ground through two current electrodes, while the resulting potential difference is measured using two potential electrodes. From the measurements of current and potential difference at two data acquisition points, variations in subsurface resistivity values were obtained for each layer at the measurement sites. Based on the analysis and interpretation of the resistivity data, the subsurface lithology in the study area consists of three main layers: saturated clay, sandy clay, and sandstone. At the first data acquisition site, the dominant sandstone layer is identified at a depth range of 1.50 to 9.60 meters with resistivity values ranging from >33.6 to 3987 Ωm. At the second site, the sandstone layer is predominantly found at depths between 2.78 and 7.20 meters with resistivity values ranging from >24.9 to 361 Ωm.
