The impact of globalization creates competition between countries, especially in the fields of science and technology. In the field of science and technology, excellence can be achieved through quality human resources. From this it is known that there is a need for schools that can compete in this era. In the development of education in Indonesia, the government has issued new regulations that can encourage the improvement of education and make it survive in international educational competition, namely international standard schools. In Palembang, there are still a few schools with international standards, especially Modern Islamic Boarding Schools or Islamic boarding schools, none of which implement an international curriculum. Therefore, it is necessary to plan and design an international standard Islamic Boarding School where there will be space that supports the medical and cultural curriculum, religious curriculum and international curriculum. Apart from that, the school's facilities and infrastructure will be complete to support international school activities. Not only that, the building design will consider the Islamic architectural design approach. In this way, an international standard Islamic Boarding School will continue to reflect the school and its Islamic nuances.
