This research examines survival strategies and places to stay overnight for homeless people in PalembangCity. The aim of this research is about what strategies are used by homeless people and where homelesspeople spend the night in Palembang City. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitativeresearch method with a case study strategy. Determining the informants in this research was carried outpurposively and then 12 informants and I key informant were obtained. The data in this research wascollected by observing, interviewing and documenting. The results of the research show that homeless peoplein Palembang City use strategies such as looking for junk (scavengers), construction workers, laundryworkers, beggars and spending the night in huts hehind the DPRD, huts near TPKS, in-laws houses, rentinghouses and Sriwijaya bus stops Keyword: Survival Strategies, Place to stay
