THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS’ HABITS IN WATCHING TIKTOK ENGLISH CONTENT ON VOCABULARY ENHANCEMENT OF ENGLISH EDUCATION STUDENTS AT SRIWIJAYA UNIVERSITY
This study investigates the influence of students’ habits in watching TikTok English content on vocabulary enhancement among English Education students at Sriwijaya University. The objective is to determine whether students’ frequent engagement with TikTok contributes significantly to their vocabulary development and to identify the types of English content that are perceived as most effective in improving vocabulary mastery. A quantitative associative design was applied with a population of 132 second- and fourth-semester students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics and simple linear regression in SPSS. The findings show a strong positive relationship between students’ TikTok habits and their vocabulary enhancement, with a regression coefficient of 0.809, a significance value of 0.000 (
