PT Bara Anugrah Sejahtera (BAS), a coal mining company located in Muara Enim, South Sumatra, is currently facing a major challenge due to limited disposal land, which has led to temporary dumping and material rehandling activities in the northern Sump area. One of the best solutions considered is a void-sharing collaboration with PT Prima Mulia Sarana Sejahtera (PMSS). However, due to the considerable distance between sites, technical scheduling and economic analysis are required to minimize overdistance costs charged by mining contractors. The technical study utilizes data such as haulage cycle time, fleet quantity, current topography, equipment specifications, planned productivity, physical availability, effective utilization, geotechnical recommendations, and minescape project data. The economic analysis includes loading and hauling rates, rise and fall coefficients, and overdistance rate tariffs. Annual scheduling and haul distance simulations were conducted using SPRY software, based on three potential collaboration start dates: Scenario 1 (August 1, 2025), Scenario 2 (January 1, 2026), and Scenario 3 (June 1, 2026). The results show that Scenario 1 has an average overdistance of 1,662 meters and rehandling volume of 1,192,920 BCM, with a total cost of IDR 5.638 trillion. Scenario 2 has an average overdistance of 1,519 meters and rehandling of 4,388,141 BCM, costing IDR 5.753 trillion. Scenario 3 shows the lowest overdistance at 1,468 meters but the highest rehandling volume of 6,412,641 BCM, resulting in a total cost of IDR 5.825 trillion. Although overdistance decreases in later scenarios, the cost burden from rehandling increases significantly, making Scenario 1 the most cost-efficient option.
