Microplastic pollution in waters has become a global issue due to its impacts on marine ecosystems and human health. Microplastics accumulated in waters are at risk of being ingested by marine biota, including fish for consumption such as frigate tuna (Auxis thazard) sold in traditional markets. This study aims to identify the type, size, and abundance of microplastics in the digestive tract of tuna from traditional markets in Palembang City. In this study, fish samples were first measured and weighed. Next, the digestive tract was added with a 10% KOH solution and incubated at 40°C for 24 hours, then filtered using Whatman No. 42 filter paper.
